Inspired by The Leader’s decision to print James Jackson’s letter on May 25, in which he reports hearing that absurd notion that WHO is trying to require everyone, everywhere to get permission before doing anything to their own property, I imagined that the Republican Party is promoting universal legislation which essentially declares the following, “Any person, anywhere, who has eyes or ears must first seek written approval and permission from the designated Republican authority before you or a family member or anyone you know fails to watch FOX news constantly, even if you do not own a television or are sleeping.”
The motivation for this legislation is clear. To promote fear. Bigotry. Isolationism.
I am interested in what other readers might think. Is this constitutional? Republican? Tyrannical? Bad editorial judgment?
