LETTER: PT is friendly to pedestrians, disabled

I just want to let you know how much we appreciate the friendliness of all of the shopkeepers in downtown Port Townsend. And even though the city has a lot of trees, the sidewalks are always free of nasty, slippery leaves.

Another thing I like is how the parking situation for the disabled is handled. No one can park in a spot designated for people with disabilities except those who are disabled. Over in Port Angeles, there are signs below the blue disabled spots which allow anyone to park there. Are you listening, Port Angeles?

I live in Port Angeles, but my boyfriend and I venture over to Port Townsend every time Crow Quill Night Owls are in town or for any other excuse we can come up with. We are looking forward to all of the Christmas festivities that take place in Port Townsend.
