LETTER: Great to have nonprofits under 1 umbrella

Posted

As the executive director of Camp Beausite Northwest, a Jefferson County community nonprofit which has received funding, services and support from both the Jefferson County Community Foundation and United Good Neighbors over the last four years, I am delighted to know these two organizations are merging.

Both organizations have a shared vision for community improvement and growth, and both provide complimentary services and support, making them critical resources for nonprofits, donors and volunteers.

As individual organizations, they have been strong; through their collaborative efforts since 2012, they have been strengthened and now, by merging into one powerful organization, they will be a force to be reckoned with in our community’s future.
