New Law in PT: No vehicular idling for more than 3 minutes to preserve our air quality for future generations and to save gas. Each day Americans create unnecessary air pollution and waste approximately 3.8 million gallons of gasoline by idling their cars.

Idling emits a pound of C02 for every 10 minutes; 30 million tons of C02 are emitted yearly in the U.S. from idling.

Exceptions to the law are for extreme temperatures, when stopped in traffic, for health and safety reasons and for law enforcement officials.

First time offenders and unaware residents will be educated. Three violations could incur a $50 penalty.

Let’s you and I do our part.
