Volunteers are needed to crochet or knit replicas of breasts for Jefferson County Public Health.
According to health officials, the models will be used to educate parents about breast feeding. The project is in preparation for Breastfeeding Month in August.
Volunteers must use their own yarn. The yarn may be any color and must come from a smoke-free household. There is no limit to number of models donated.
The donated replicas may be dropped off between 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays at the Jefferson County Public Health clinic, which is located next to the QFC grocery store in Port Townsend. The models can also be mailed to 615 Sheridan St, Port Townsend, WA 98368.
The donation deadline is Aug. 31
Free patterns for knit or crochet are available at jeffersoncountypublichealth.org.
