The cast of the Port Townsend Kiwanis Mystery Dinner is gearing up for another great show.
Tickets are now on sale for the annual mystery dinner fundraising show sponsored by the PT Kiwanis Club. The 2023 performance, titled “Murder in the Magical Kingdom,” is presented by the Port Townsend Mystery Players.
Ramon Dailey, who writes and directs the shows, stated, “I’m really excited and grateful for getting another chance to put on one of our shows. I get to be creative with some of my best friends, entertain the community that I love, and raise some money for a great cause. Come join us!”
The PT Mystery Players is a group of amateur actors who donate their time and talent to the cause. Several of them – David and Mary Crozier, Jan Boutilier, and Ramon Dailey – have been in every one of the past mystery dinner shows since its inception in 2006.
Attendees may choose from two performances on Friday and Saturday evenings, Dec. 1 or 2 at the Oscar Erickson Building at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds, 4907 Landes St. in Port Townsend.
Tickets are available for both shows which will be catered by Thysen & Debi Scott of GBF (God Bless Food). Vegetarian and gluten-free items are available.
Tickets typically sell out, so purchasing them now is really essential according to David and Mary Crozier, chairs of the Kiwanis committee. “There are tables for groups of six at both the Friday and Saturday shows, and this production is a great place for businesses to hold their holiday parties.”
Doors open at 5 p.m., the show starts at 6 p.m. and dinner will be served at 7 p.m. The evening includes drinks, socializing, silent auction, and displays from Kiwanis and other organizations.
Tickets are advance-sale only and sales will be cut off on Monday, Nov. 27 in order to get a proper headcount for the caterer. The cost of the ticket, which includes the dinner and show, is $60, with all proceeds benefiting the Jefferson County Children’s Programs supported by the PT Kiwanis Club.
This year, funds will go towards Foster Support Groups of Jefferson County to help foster kids and their fostering families.
Tickets are available at brownpapertickets.com or by contacting Mary Crozier at 360-531-0200.
