Tuesday, Nov. 7, is not only Election Day in Jefferson County, it’s also the last day for new voter registrations and updates.

Of the 49 races on the ballot, only 10 are contested.

• The Port of Port Townsend Commissioner District 1 race, for a four-year term, is between incumbent Pam Petranek and challenger Chuck Fauls.

• The Queets-Clearwater School District Director Position 5 race, for a two-year unexpired term, is between incumbent Rosemary Jackson and challenger Sarah Charles.

• The Quicelene School District Director District 1 race, for a four-year term, is between non-incumbent candidates Ron Frantz and Ronald Leon Jones.

• The Quicelene School District Director at Large Position 4 race, for a four-year term, is between non-incumbent candidates Anne Bessey and James Hodgson.

• The Port Townsend School District Director District 2 race, for a four-year term, is between challenger Annie Bartos and incumbent Simon Little.

• The Port Townsend School District Director District 3 race, for a four-year term, is between non-incumbent candidates Matt Klontz and Nancy Papasodora.

• The Port Townsend School District Director at Large Position 5 race, for a four-year term, is between incumbent Nathanael O’Hara and challenger Timothy S. Hawley.

• The Sequim School District Director District 1 race, for a four-year term, is between incumbent Lawrence (Larry) Jeffryes and challenger John Graham.

• The Sequim School District Director at Large Position 4 race, for a two-year unexpired term, is between incumbent Maren Halvorsen and challenger Derek Huntington.

• The Sequim School District Director at Large Position 5 race, for a four-year term, is between incumbent Michael Rocha and challenger Sandra Kellso.

The League of Women Voters enables voters to “Find Your Elected Officials” by typing in your address at lwv.org/take-action/find-your-elected-officials online.
