The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received calls for service between Friday, Jan. 13 and Friday, Jan. 20. Below are selected reports.
At 8:07 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 15 in Port Hadlock, a caller reported an unwanted person.
A caller said there was a man living in a vehicle in the parking lot by the Little League baseball field. Trash was all around the vehicle, which was parked by the batting cages.
A deputy responded and found a man and woman in a Chevrolet Silverado. The deputy discovered the couple had also entered a shed to find a place to store their food.
The pair were issued trespassing warnings and were advised to not go into buildings where they shouldn’t be.
At 10:09 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 15 in Port Hadlock, a man said he had been verbally assaulted by another man.
A deputy contacted the man and determined no physical altercation took place and it appeared no crime had been committed.
The person was told to call authorities if the man who had said things to him came to his place; he was also advised to get a protection order if he thought he needed one.
At 12:17 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16 in Quilcene, a resident reported an ongoing issue with a dog in the area that was being aggressive.
No attack had occurred but the woman said when she walked by the animal that the dog acted aggressively.
At 9:27 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17 in Port Hadlock, an employee at the QFC reported an attempt to fraudulently fill a prescription for Xanax.
A deputy contacted the pharmacist, who said an unknown woman had tried to fill a prescription.
A record check was conducted on the name she gave and no records were found.
The person had also called the QFC in Port Townsend.
