The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 215 calls for service between Saturday, April 23 and Friday, April 29. Below are selected reports.

At 9:19 p.m. Saturday, April 23 in Port Ludlow, staff reported a dog-bite victim was being treated.

A woman had a bite on her calf. She said she tripped and fell on top of the dog and then it bit her.

The animal had not bitten anyone previously.

The wound required stitches.

At 12:27 a.m. Sunday, April 24 in Port Townsend, a man said two people got out of a silver vehicle and started to get aggressive with him when he was at a bus stop near Safeway.

He had no idea why they approached him, but said they wanted to start a fight.

An on-duty deputy was about 150 feet away when the incident was reported, and no people or vehicles matching the description had been seen.

A deputy suspected mental health issues had been a factor in the call.

At 12:27 a.m. Sunday, April 24 in Chimacum, dispatchers received a report of a suspicious truck that had its headlights shining on a nearby field.

The caller didn’t know what was going on.

The suspicious vehicle was gone by the time law enforcement arrived.

At 8:14 a.m. Sunday, April 24 in Port Ludlow, a suspicious white van was seen near a house that had a history of break-ins.

A woman and a dog got out of the van.

A deputy made contact with those associated with the vehicle, and no criminal activity appeared to be afoot.
