The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 238 calls for service between Friday, Nov. 18 and Friday, Nov 25. Below are selected reports.

At 5:01 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22 in Port Townsend, a healthcare worker made a mandatory report of a dog-bite victim.

The victim did not want to press charges and did not want to talk to law enforcement.

At 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23 in Quilcene, a caller said a man had come over to borrow tools but left with items he didn’t have permission to take.

The caller said he went to make sure that his brother hadn’t taken other tools, but found a weed-eater and a compressor was missing.

The case is under investigation.

At 10:27 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23 in Brinnon, a caller said a person was threatening to shoot her husband if he stepped outside.

The person had come by in a red minivan but had since left the scene.

The caller said the person does it every time they come to Brinnon.

A deputy advised the caller to call back if the person returned.

At 1:43 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 24 in Port Ludlow, a resident reported a suspicious white van that was driving slowly through the neighborhood.

Someone in the van was shining a light into yards.

The van went by approximately four times, and the caller had not seen the van before in the neighborhood.

Deputies checked the area but could not find the van.

At 2:35 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25 in Chimacum, a caller said someone took a hedge trimmer and saws from a shed, and possibly other items.

The caller said the person who took the things was going to Tacoma, but the caller said he wasn’t sure if he was being honest.

The caller was not on the property where the reported theft occurred, so a deputy took a phone report instead.

At 11:18 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25 in Port Ludlow, a caller reported six storage units had been broken into. The locks of the sheds were twisted off.

Video surveillance showed a man climbing a fence to get into the facility.

The case remains under investigation.
