The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office received 355 calls for service between Friday, Feb. 24 and Friday, March 3.
At 4:39 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 in Port Hadlock, a caller reported mail theft.
The caller received a package that contained envelopes that had been opened but then taped closed.
A deputy tried to contact the mail theft victim, and receiving no answer, left a message.
At 12:22 p.m. Thursday, March 3 in Chimacum, a student was threatening another student at the school.
One student was upset at the other over rumors that had been circulating. The two were about to fight in the cafeteria.
The pair were contacted before the fight occurred, and the parents of the students were notified. The school said it would handle the incident internally.
At 5:41 a.m. Friday, March 3 in Port Ludlow, a burglary was reported at a coffee stand.
A man shattered the window on the front door to the business, then entered the store and grabbed a cash box and left.
The cash box contained $15.
At 6:54 a.m. Friday, March 3 in Chimacum, a caller reported a son who had gotten a death threat at school the day before.
A note had been written in a notebook that said the student’s family would disappear.
There was no information on a possible suspect.
At 9:44 p.m. Friday, March 3 in Port Ludlow, a caller reported the theft of Amazon packages.
A total of 23 items were taken from a porch, and the loss was estimated at $700.
