This upcoming weekend of Concerts in the Barn will host the Jasper String Quartet.
The quartet — consisting of J. Freivogel, violin; Karen Kim, violin; Andrew Gonzalez, viola; and Rachel Henderson Freivogel, cello — will be joined by pianist Amy Yang.
This weekend’s concerts take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 23 and Sunday, July 24.
Celebrating its 16th anniversary in 2022, the Jasper String Quartet is recognized as one of the leading American string quartets on the performance stage today.
Yang balances an active career as soloist, chamber musician, and pedagogue. She is a member of the chamber music faculty at Curtis Institute of Music, where she previously held the roles of program director and piano faculty of Curtis Summerfest’s Young Artist Summer Program for nine summers.
The farm opens to visitors at noon each concert day.
At 1 p.m., the barn doors open so that barn patrons can reserve their seats. Walk-up patrons will be seated according to remaining space.
All concerts are free to the public. However, all concertgoers are encouraged to reserve their place in the barn or on the lawn in advance through TicketStripe, accessible through the home page of concertsinthebarn.org.
Barn audience members must wear masks during the performance.
Visit concertsinthebarn.org for guidelines and more information, as well as more performance dates, programs, and artist information.
