James Frederick Bunce Jr. died peacefully in his sleep on Sept. 17, 2022.

He was born on Jan. 19, 1935, in Seattle. After serving in the U.S. Air Force, mostly in Japan, he joined Bendix Corporation/Allied Signal where his work took him to many foreign countries. He retired after a career tracking deep space satellites for NASA and JPL who awarded him for his work on the Apollo and Voyager Missions.

James is survived by his wife Agnes Murphy Hoover whom he married on April 10, 1994. Their marriage brought James a family of five adult children and many grandchildren who will miss him greatly. James and Agnes traveled extensively enjoying cruises, RVing and eventually purchased a second home in Yuma, Arizona where they spent 14 winters before retiring permanently to Keizer.

He left the world as he would have wanted and will be missed by all who knew him.
