We urge you to join us in voting for Monica MickHager for city council. It’s time to bring some well-needed fresh air to city government.
As a business owner and formerly single mom (now grandmother) she understands the challenges facing our town’s working families.
Her years of volunteer commitment (City Planning Commission, advisory boards, school district committees, KPTZ board, etc.) have given her the experience to represent us on the council and informs her ability to work collaboratively in a body such as the city council. It has also taught her that the city council exists to determine the policies and direction of the city, not to merely rubberstamp what they are fed.
She is committed to listening to the concerns of local citizens and, more importantly, supporting and engaging them with respect and open communication.
She is committed to focus on much-needed essential infrastructure and stop spending our taxes on frivolous projects which provide no benefit to local families and workers.
She is committed to a review of the municipal code to examine which zoning and building regulations inhibit much-needed affordable housing.
She’s experienced and honest and will work to support all of our neighborhoods. It’s way past time for a change. It’s time to vote MickHager for city council.
