Irene passed away three years after her beloved husband Bob and daughter Chris Little preceded her to heaven.
Born to Salvation Army officers Richard and Agnes (Nancy) Skelland in Spokane, Washington, Irene (and later, sister Hannah) accompanied her parents as they were posted to different cities throughout the West, eventually ending up in San Diego, California. There she met her husband, raising four children (John, Chris, Connie, Barbara).
After retirement, she and Bob continued to travel the USA coast-to-coast, eventually settling in Port Townsend, Washington, to be near daughters Chris and Barbara and their growing families.
She is survived by sister Hannah; three children; 25 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
