InHealth Imaging used a crane last week to install what it says is the only 3Tesla MRI on the Kitsap and Olympic peninsulas, and a low radiation 64-slice CT.
The business is located at 20700 Bond Road NE, Poulsbo.
The 3T MRI has a more open design which accommodates patients up to 550 pounds and helps reduce anxiety and claustrophobia.
"The tight confines in older MRIs are a thing of the past," says Dr. Manfred Henne, MD, PhD, board certified radiologist and owner of InHealth Imaging.
The primary benefits of the new 64-slice CT is that it provides patients lower radiation, advanced imaging capabilities, and more comfort with a much larger opening. "Because of its technology and speed patients will only need to hold their breath for a very short time," says Dr. Henne.
InHealth Imaging staff emphasizes patient comfort; every patient is given the opportunity to discuss their results personally with the radiologist.
