Contemplate Nichiren Buddhism Feb. 24
“A Brief History of Buddhism: Introduction of Nichiren Buddhism” is presented from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24 at Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2333 San Juan Ave.
The free course, facilitated by Emelia De Souza, Tomoko Shaffer and Dewey Atkins, explores Nichiren Buddhism from the 13th century to its present form.

Gospel singers perform Feb. 25
Port Ludlow Community Church hosts gospel singers Evergreen 3 at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25.
Evergreen 3 is composed of Brian Welk, Cindy Welk and Maria Barr, who strive to serve Jesus Christ through the ministry of music, according to a press release.
The trio specializes in Southern gospel music and blends old hymns with some of the newest songs written today. Woven throughout the songs are Bible verses, personal testimonies and inspirational stories. The purpose of the trio’s performance is to encourage Christians in their spiritual walk and to introduce unbelievers to Christ, according to the release.
