SmileMobile to stop in Jefferson County
The SmileMobile is visiting Jefferson County from Feb. 12 to March 1 to offer dental service to newborn children through high-school-age students, and pregnant and postpartum women.
This full-service dental van provides oral health education, examinations, X-rays, cleanings, sealants, fillings and simple extractions. Written referrals are provided to individuals with comprehensive dental needs, according to a press release.
The SmileMobile is to be at Jefferson County Public Health, 615 Sheridan St., Feb. 12-16; the Tri-Area Community Center, 10 W. Valley Road, Chimacum, Feb. 20-23; and Brinnon School, 46 Schoolhouse Road, Feb. 26-March 1.
The program accepts Apple Health (Medicaid, Provider One) and offers a sliding fee scale for families with limited or no dental insurance.

ECHHO needs drivers
With requests for services up and volunteers leaving for warmer states, Ecumenical Christian Helping Hands Organization (ECHHO) is looking for volunteers to drive clients to medical and other essential appointments.
Clients in need of transportation are referred to ECHHO by doctors, ministers and other professionals. Volunteers are screened, oriented and insured. Volunteers can accept or reject any request.
