Art Frank is running for sheriff, but he took a break from his campaign last Saturday to help Community Build with our tiny house project in Port Townsend.

You can learn a lot about someone’s character on a construction site. Here’s what I learned about Art:

Art came prepared: dressed for construction, driving a vehicle equipped with all manner of building tools.

Art was easily the hardest working person on our crew that day. He showed up on time and stayed for the duration.

Art’s attitude was all about teamwork and getting the job done.

Art displayed extensive knowledge of construction, and kindly shared this knowledge with others.

Art was respectful of those with less experience and skill. For example, I am a 65-year-old woman, and when I was struggling with a task at the beginning of the project, instead of taking over for me, Art encouraged and empowered me by helping me learn how to do it myself.

Art traveled all the way from Quilcene on his day off to volunteer in Port Townsend.

Art showed he lives his values. As sheriff, Art will improve Jefferson County Sheriff Office service quality by responding to and resolving our community’s most pressing law enforcement concerns. He will work hardest to help and empower those marginalized by income and power limitations.

I vote my values and Art Frank exemplifies those values. Vote Art Frank for Jefferson County Sheriff.
