If you’re jonesing for something historic, the Jefferson County Historical Society is launching a new series of its popular History Happy Hour this month.
Join bartenders Sophia Elan and Alexander Moats along with JCHS’s Ellie DiPietro for a happy hour steeped in history. They will be pouring one-part cocktail tutorials shaken with one-part historical presentations.
For the March History Happy Hour, the history of photography in Jefferson County will be the focal point. Viewers will learn about photo re-touching before Photoshop, discuss how photography is used in research, and get a behind-the-scenes look at some of the photographs in the historical society’s collection.
The free event is scheduled for 5 p.m. Friday, March 19 via Zoom. Register at jchsmuseum.simpletix.com.
