The crash occurred just before 3 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 13.
Two cars were stopped for westbound traffic on the highway at the Sandy Shore Road intersection when a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta failed to stop and hit a 2005 Kia sedan that was driven by a 36-year-old Suquamish woman, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The Kia was pushed into the rear of the car in front of it, a 2001 Honda Accord driven by a 56-year-old Chimacum man.
The drivers of the three vehicles were not hurt.
The injured woman was a passenger in the Volkswagen. She was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
