A public hearing has been scheduled for 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 27 at the Jefferson County Courthouse for a proposed permit on a 10,000-square-foot marijuana processing facility at 9272 Flagler Road in Nordland.
During previous public discussions on the subject, residents have expressed concerns about the proposed facility’s compliance with the State Environmental Policy Act and the Marrowstone Island community development plan.
The Leader has corresponded with representatives of the permit applicants, and plans to publish their responses in a future edition.
