Jefferson Healthcare’s Nursing Leadership Team has presented Health Navigator Michele Carson with the October 2021 Difference Maker Award.
The award highlights the innovation and teamwork that brings about the best environment and experience for Jefferson Healthcare’s patients and employees.
“Michele has been instrumental in helping to set up home O2 and CPAP/Bipap machines for patients who are being discharged,” said Chief Nursing Officer Tina Toner.
“The discharge planning team has stepped up to support a very short-staffed Respiratory Department. I appreciate the work Michelle puts in to make these discharges work,” Toner said.
Jefferson Healthcare Nursing Leadership recognizes a Difference Maker every month.
Hospital officials said Difference Makers go above and beyond; for patients, they “are the difference between a patient feeling alone or cared for and the difference between sadness and encouragement. For their team, difference makers are the difference between an OK day and a fantastic day, the difference between being rigid or flexible when it matters most, and the difference between I and WE.”
