Everybody to the beach!
Members of the Port Ludlow Art League will use a variety of mediums to translate their interpretation of beaches for the league’s August online art show.
The Beaches Group Art Show will be online throughout the month at portludlowart.org.
Organizers note the exhibit may prompt waves of raves for those wanting to weather the current pandemic by enjoying the calming effect of a beach: “Because we’re naturally drawn to aquatic hues, gazing at the ocean has a calming effect on our brain, allowing it to go into a meditative state. In addition, listening to waves collapsing on the beach activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which makes us more relaxed.”
