Regarding finding separate uses for the Port Townsend Golf Course, something to consider is that there is only one golf course.

How many parks are there in Port Townsend for people to enjoy walks with nature, Chetzamoka Park, North Beach, Morgan Hill, trails and beaches from the Boat Haven, and also from Point Hudson, Fort Worden for hiking and beaches, and Khai Tai lagoon, to name a few?

Not everyone shares the same interests, a golf course gets people outdoors that may not otherwise. There are many fundraising tournaments that benefit the community each year such as the Rotary Club, high school Rival sports, and Little League.

There is only one skate park, would we take that out as not everyone uses it?
