Gingerbread house winners announced

Jefferson County Library District told the Leader that the people have spoken, and the votes have been counted and they extend a heartfelt thank you to all who participated in their 2023 Gingerbread House Contest, citing the community’s creativity and enthusiasm made for a delightful event and festive experience. Adult Category: “Alpine Christmas” by Walter Moller, Youth Category: “Candy Manor” by Ila Carr, Family Category: “Gingerbread Delight” by Zoe and Rachel Pollock.

In other Ginger Bread House news, the Port Townsend Public Library has been filled with joy and whimsey this month thanks to our community’s amazing artistry. Sally Robbins, library volunteer of 40 years and community builder, served as this year’s juror. Sally said when she juried the houses, she was looking for, “overall look, originality, difficulty, precision, and consistency of theme.” She also commented that it was very hard to choose the winners with 23 wonderful entries. All entries can be viewed in person at the library through December 30. Gingerbread Winners:
