Grants are available to help property owners with septic repairs and installations, according to Jefferson County Public Health.
The funding is intended for housing rehabilitation, specifically focused on helping low and moderate-income property owners install septic systems, officials said, and applications for grants are now being accepted.
The grants pay a percentage of the cost to build, repair, or replace septic systems for eligible property owners.
Funding for the project is provided through a Washington State Department of Commerce Community Development Block Grant.
Applications can be completed either online or on paper. Paper copies are available at and should be submitted to Jefferson County Public Health, c/o Amanda Christofferson, 615 Sheridan St., Port Townsend.
