Mountain View Pool is set to be open for swimming free of charge, Sunday, Feb. 11.
It’s lap time for swimming, water walking, therapy and exercise from 1 to 2 p.m. From 2 to 5 p.m., all are welcome for an open recreation swim, according to a press release from Rena Murman of the Jefferson County Aquatic Coalition. Children younger than 8 years must be accompanied in the water by an adult.
This month, the open recreation swim is sponsored by Carl’s Building Supply; the therapy/lap swim is sponsored by Jefferson Healthcare.
Last month’s free swim was canceled due to an emergency contamination closure, Murman noted in a press release.
Anyone with flu symptoms, especially diarrhea or vomiting, is asked to stay home. Health practices require a minimum 24-hour closure if pool water is contaminated.
For pool information, call 360-385-7665. The pool is located at 1925 Blaine St. in Port Townsend.
