Please vote for Art Frank for Sheriff.
I’ve met with Art Frank several times over the past few months and have been very impressed with his law enforcement background and dedication to serving his community. The incumbent is likable enough, but likability is not enough to efficiently run the sheriff’s department.
Art Frank has years of experience as a member of SWAT, a homicide detective, and leading a multi-agency task force that brought justice to many homicide victims in the Los Angeles area. Art has served in the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) since 2016.
Art’s impressive background will enhance the quality of our current sheriff’s department and specifically address the following issues:
Increase JCSO response rates to 911 calls, many of which are currently ignored.
Train deputies for active shooter situations, which is something currently lacking. This issue is of vital importance for the safety of our community and schools.
Increase patrols by deputies.
Develop a strategic plan for JCSO.
Get JCSO accredited by the Washington Association of Sheriffs and Police Chiefs.
Ensure that JCSO staff follow the same vaccination and masking rules as other county employees.
We are a small community, but we still deserve the best in training and service from our community agencies. Art Frank is the only candidate in the race committed to improving public safety in these increasingly perilous times.
