The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Jefferson County sponsors the screening of “Infinitely Polar Bear” at noon on Saturday, Oct. 22. The free event takes place at Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2333 San Juan Ave., Port Townsend.
Starring Zoe Saldano and Mark Ruffalo, this 2015 award-winning film tells the story of a young family's struggle with the father's mental illness and his ultimate recovery.
This annual film event honors Mental Illness Awareness Week, whose purpose is to spread the word of hope for those struggling with mental illness, and for their families. A Q&A after the screening is planned, and refreshments are available. Doors open at 11:30 a.m.
