The morning of the July 14 I had my first personal contact with East Jefferson Fire Rescue.
My 911 call was handled quickly and with no fuss. The crew soon arrived and were calm, competent, comforting and reassuring. And they patiently answered my questions. My wife’s severe nose bleed was minimized at home before they transported her to the emergency room at Jefferson Healthcare, where she was treated. We were home by mid-afternoon.
The crew has earned recognition for a job well done and for minimizing our stress in what had become a scary morning.
