As a school superintendent I interviewed professional and paraprofessional applicants and read their résumés. It was part of my job responsibilities. I believe that due diligence in determining which candidates to elect to public office is the job of every responsible voter.
I have read on-line the résumé of Cheri Van Hoover, candidate for hospital commissioner, and attended events where she has spoken to constituents, i.e., the voters to whom she is applying for this important job.
Cherie is an impressive communicator at the forum microphone, and I have to say that I have never, ever seen a more informative résumé.
It describes powerful professional training and experience and a deep sense of ethics. It promises us, the hospital patrons, a bright, engaged and collegial new member on our commission.
So, do your homework. Be informed voters.
Read Cheri’s résumé. Hear her speak. Vote to “employ” this outstanding woman.
