A commissioner for community hospital is responsible for policy, mission and vision for that hospital. Cheri Van Hoover, with her long and varied experience in health care, is the candidate best prepared for these responsibilities.
Cheri has been a practitioner for women’s health and mental health crisis intervention. She also has had experience in the administration, education and management of complex issues in a variety of health care settings.
By her publications and professional career, Cheri has demonstrated her beliefs and practices in promoting quality, compassionate care, birth to death. I have known her to openly listen, weigh concerns and ideas, and base her recommendations on thorough research of the issue. She will be an asset for the public, the hospital and her fellow commissioners in their decisions.
As a retired clinical nurse specialist and former manager of oncology outpatient infusion service at a community hospital, I highly support Cheri.
