I support Jack McKay for the Chimacum School Board. He has a very strong academic background with his Ph.D. in educational administration, is emeritus professor at the University of Nebraska, and his current role as executive director of the Horace Mann League of the U.S., all of which demonstrates his strong leadership skills and commitment to education.
Jack understands the challenges of working in rural and underserved populations as he has taught in the classroom, coached and been a high school principal in many of these communities in Washington state.
In 2015, Washington State University honored Jack for his excellence and dedication to advancing education with the Alumni Advocate Award. The breadth and depth of Jack’s experience and advocacy for underserved communities is a perfect fit for what is needed in our community.
