One could look far, wide and long and never come up with another candidate as qualified as Bruce McComas to fill the position on the East Jefferson County Hospital District 2 board.
A former manager of the local paper mill and dedicated force in local nonprofit organizations, he has the proven ability to be both pragmatic and innovative, businesslike and compassionate. He was an easy choice as the community’s Citizen of the Year a number of years ago.
Directly related to the office he is seeking is the fact that he currently serves on three committees at Jefferson Healthcare. He also has personal experience as a caregiver through the six years his late wife, Teri, battled cancer.
We’re fortunate indeed to have a person of Bruce’s knowledge and all-around competence stepping up and offering to take on the task represented by this office.
