A 40-year-old Poulsbo woman was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after she was injured in a two-vehicle crash just west of the Hood Canal Bridge Saturday night.
The wreck happened at 7:48 p.m. Jan. 28. According to the Washington State Patrol, a 40-year-old Port Ludlow woman was stopped at Shine Road and Highway 104 when she attempted to cross the highway and drive onto Teal Lake Road.
The Port Ludlow woman’s 2013 Ford F-250 was hit on the driver’s side door by the Poulsbo driver, who was going west on Highway 104 in a 2007 Saturn VUE.
Drugs or alcohol was a factor in the crash, according to the State Patrol.
The Poulsbo woman was charged with driving under the influence, and the Port Ludlow woman was cited for failure to yield.
The Port Ludlow woman was not injured in the collision.
Both vehicles were totaled. The Ford pickup was towed from the scene by All City Body & Towing, and the Saturn SUV was removed from the crash site by Northwest Towing and Recovery.
