Yoga benefit to assist Humane Society of Jefferson County

The monthly Feel Good Do Good benefit will be held Monday, July 6 to support the Humane Society of Jefferson County.

This month will be different from others, with participants given the option of participating in-person outside at the Fort Worden Madrona MindBody institute studio, or joining in on a Zoom videoconference.

Money raised will go into the HSJC’s general fund. Because “kitten season” — the time in late spring when litters of kittens flood the shelter — is happening now, cat and kitten food is especially important.

The class is open to all ages and abilities, so no previous yoga experience is required.

Anyone who wishes to participate can make an online donation to the Humane Society of Jefferson County at www.hsjcwa.org, writing “Yoga - in person” or “Yoga - online” in the message line. The receipt of donation will serve as an entry ticket to the class, and those who specified online will be sent a Zoom link.

Donations are welcome in any amount that the participant decides. Klein said that most fall in the $10 range.

The event will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 6.

The next Feel Good Do Good benefit is scheduled for Monday, Aug. 3 to support the Jefferson Clemente Foundation and will be taught by Shauna Artman.
