The Gingerbread Contest at Flagship Landing is still accepting creations through Friday, Dec. 30. Drop off gingerbread constructions at 1007 Water St. in downtown Port Townsend.
Judging takes place on Saturday, Jan. 7. Prizes include gift certificates to The Rose Theatre, Elevated Ice Cream Co. & Candy Shop, and Whistle Stop Toys. The gingerbread creations are to be on display through Jan. 14.
The Port Townsend Paper Corp.’s kraft trees also are on display in the Flagship Landing space across from Whistle Stop Toys. The gingerbread contest is set to go back home to Aldrich’s Market in 2017, after being hosted this year by the Port Townsend Main Street Program.
Rules and entry forms are available at ptmainstreet.org.
A gift-wrapping station is also set up from 1 to 5 p.m. at Flagship Landing through Saturday, Dec. 24. Students supported by Applied Education Foundation, a Port Townsend STEAM nonprofit, are to wrap gifts by donation, and are to be demonstrating its STEAM projects through Dec. 30.
