Daniel Livingston Ruby passed away on January 10th, 2024. Born to Bonnie Johnson and Byron Ruby in Port Townsend, Washington. Dan was raised at North Beach with his four siblings, Matt, Joe, Rebecca and James. He graduated from Port Townsend High School in 1969 and then went on to join the US Army where he served in Viet-Nam from 1970-1972.

Dan completed course work at Peninsula College in small engine repair, in which he continued to do through the remainder of his life. He also took an avid interest in cutting wood for many years. Fishing and hunting were a few of his small interests. Baseball was his favorite sport and without a doubt, the Mariners were his favorite team.

In 1992, Dan and his good friend gathered a truck load of donations and drove them down to LA during the riots. He was always willing to help others.

Dan is survived by his wife Calleen, his four daughters Mary, Heather, Tara and Leah, and several grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at the Palindrome, 1893 S. Jacob Miller Rd, Port Townsend, Wa98368 on March 23rd from 2pm-6pm. Please bring your favorite stories and dish to enjoy while we gather together to honor Dan.
