Dance, art, music light up PT

This letter is to celebrate the diverse array of talented dancers, musicians and artists who  shared their talent and time this past weekend.

Each year I have attended the dance recitals of Ling Hui at the Wheeler Theatre. I have sat and been filled with joy at the discipline and fun the students show as they dance to beautiful music and choreographed by Ling Hui.

Later I went to our monthly gallery walk and admired the craftsmanship and history of our Coast Salish Art along the Olympic Peninsula. This exhibit let me see the strong traditions and carved motifs. I know I will return to look more closely at this creativity when it is less crowded.

The gallery walks give us each a special time to reconnect with artists as well as friends.

I am grateful to live in such a rich place with a wide choice of art and music each weekend. So this letter is to celebrate summer and Centrum and a chance to grow in new directions.
