Two people were hurt in a two-car crash Monday evening on US Highway 101 near West Uncas Road south of Discovery Bay.
The Washington State Patrol said the crash was caused by a 42-year-old woman from Wellford, South Carolina who as driving north on 101 without her headlights on.
As the woman’s 1995 Subaru Legacy stopped at West Uncas Road, it was struck from behind by a 2013 BMW also going north.
The Subaru driver was injured and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.
A passenger in her car, a 38-year-old Bremerton man, was also hurt. He was taken by an aid unit to Jefferson Medical Center.
The three occupants of the BMW — a 49-year-old Sequim man who had a 12-year-old and 15-year-old in the car — were not hurt in the crash.
The Subaru was totaled, while the BMW as also damaged and towed from the scene by Northwest Towing & Recovery.
The driver of the Subaru is facing a citation for driving without headlights after dark.
