Seven new cases of COVID-19 have been found in Jefferson County, officials with Jefferson County Public Health reported Thursday.
Four of the new COVID infections are in Port Townsend, and the other three are in the mid-county area.
Results were reported Thursday for 51 new COVID-19 tests.
Test results are still pending for 36 residents.
The total number of COVID-19 cases rose to 314 Thursday.
Jefferson County Public Health has stopped providing details on individual cases, due to staff workload issues.
But a comparison of the new COVID-19 statistics with previous numbers on the spread of the coronavirus indicate that two of the new infections involved youth under the age of 20.
Two cases involved people in their 60s. The other three positive COVID confirmations included someone in their 20s, someone in their 30s, and a person in their 50s.
Four of the new infections were males, and the other three cases involved females.
According to Jefferson County Public Health, 260 people have recovered from COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic, and 23 people have been hospitalized. There have been two deaths of Jefferson County residents from COVID-19.
There have been 17,923 tests done on Jefferson County residents since March 2, 2020, and a total of 17,573 have been negative.
