Chimacum School District levy is about operations

Posted

I just finished reading the Leader’s article about the Feb. 14 Chimacum School District replacement levy.

My thoughts locked on one line in the story: 22 percent of the district’s overall funding comes from this optional taxpayer- supported levy. Wow!

How would my son’s school experience change if our district lost such a significant piece of its funding? What would it say about me and our community if we chose not to approve this replacement levy?

This isn’t about new buildings or big remodels. It’s simply about keeping our schools operating the way they do today. Renewing an existing levy.

Your ballot will be in your mailbox soon. Please take a moment and vote.

If you are unsure, my son and his schoolmates would appreciate your continued investment in them. Thank you.
