Stan Berdinner, who returned to coach the Chimacum High School girls' soccer program after a three-year absence, is the Olympic 1A League's 2015 coach of the year.
The Chimacum girls' team was voted the sportsmanship trophy in a poll involving Port Townsend, Coupeville and Klahowya. The CHS girls finished 3-13-0 overall, and were 1-5 in league with many close matches.
Chimacum players voted to the all-league team were senior goalkeeper Kyah McKinlay and ninth-grader Grace Johnson, a midfielder.
Port Townsend players voted to the all-league team were senior defender McKenzie Ginther and sophomore forward Kaitlyn Meek.
Klahowya placed four on the team, plus league MVP Dannie Antoldi, a senior forward, while Coupeville had three players selected.
