Carpe Diem String Quartet will perform for the second weekend of Concerts in the Barn.
Consisting of Charles Wetherbee, violin; Marisa Ishikawa, violin; Korine Fujiwara, viola; and Ariana Nelson, cello, the quartet will perform at the iconic barn in Quilcene on Saturday, July 16, and Sunday, July 17.
The Carpe Diem String Quartet is a boundary-breaking ensemble that has earned widespread critical acclaim for its performances of traditional repertoire, new music, genre-bending collaborations, and community engagement.
All concerts are free to the public. However, all concertgoers are encouraged to reserve their place in the barn or on the lawn in advance through TicketStripe, accessible through the home page of concertsinthebarn.org.
Attendees are encouraged to pack a picnic lunch and bring lawn chairs if sitting outside. The farm has picnic tables to accommodate all picnickers and sells cookies, ice cream, and flavored sparkling water on site. Patrons can purchase cider from Finnriver Farm and Cidery and wines from Joe Euro’s The Wine Seller in the outside wine garden.
Visit concertsinthebarn.org for guidelines and details, as well as more performance dates, programs, and artist information.
