Young families, entrepreneurs is chamber topic

Tim Lawson talks about working together to make Jefferson County a thriving place for young families and young entrepreneurs at the next chamber member lunch, noon-1 p.m., Monday, April 13 at the Elks Lodge, 555 Otto St. Event is sponsored by the Port Townsend & Jefferson County Leader.

From 5:30-7 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, the chamber hosts their After Hours Mixer at the Elks Lodge.

Indian Island commander to present at Hood Canal chamber Commander Michael Yesunas, commanding officer of Naval Magazine Indian Island, speaks to the North Hood Canal Chamber of Commerce. He discusses NAVMAG operations and certain economic and ecological impacts on the local area. Event is 5:30 p.m., Monday, April 20 at the Quilcene Community Center, 294952 US Highway 101.

Hydration Station links with Twiss Laboratories

Jim Gilliland, owner of the Hydration Station in Port Townsend, announces a new service. The business has partnered with Twiss Laboratories of Poulsbo to bring courier service to downtown Port Townsend.

Twiss Laboratories, a Spectra Lab company, has served the Olympic and Kitsap peninsulas for 23 years with quality drinking water and environmental testing. The laboratory now has the Hydration Station as a sample pick up location. Courier service is provided each Wednesday at 11:30 a.m.

People may pick up empty sample containers and laboratory forms at the Hydration Station, 2455 Jefferson St., between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Samples should be at the station no later than close of business on Tuesdays.
