Brotherton listens, shows good judgment | Letter to the editor

In my experience, it is vital to keep our proven and most effective people in leadership during rapidly changing times. We are in such times! I strongly encourage our community to re-elect Greg Brotherton as District 3 County Commissioner.

Greg is highly regarded for his ability to listen, work diligently, and make positive, compassionate changes. Specific accomplishments for the last three years include: lowering barriers for affordable housing; helping settle the commercial shooting range controversy; working with citizens to create and pass an end to new rural residential marijuana regulations; and building stronger partnerships with other government agencies (port, PUD, and local food banks).

While making progress, there are other important issues in the hopper for action. Continuity is important and now is not the time to risk inexperienced commissioners.

Beyond his specific accomplishments, Greg has a great personality and works so well with all.

In fact, we are fortunate to have someone with a strong intellect and good judgment in leadership.

Faced with recent challenges of a pandemic, divided politics, and a housing crisis, Greg has listened to constituents and studied the problems while providing local opportunities on how to move forward. Best of all, Greg supports citizen involvement and believes in our democracy.

Keep Jefferson County on track and re-elect Greg Brotherton as District 3 County Commissioner!
