Brinnon School District was awarded approximately $475,000 in total grant funds from the Washington Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction to improve facilities at the school, and will begin on projects in the summertime.
The school district received three different grants; $98,000 to construct ADA-compliant front doors to the school; $176,691 to perform urgent repairs to the front exterior wall of the school and upgrades to make the facility more energy efficient; and $200,000 to build a new gym floor.
Currently, the Brinnon School District is wrapping up its $187,000 grant-funded project, which is adding ramps, emergency exit doors, and other necessities to the middle school’s modular building project.
