At 8:11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6 in Port Hadlock, a woman reported being assaulted by another woman.
She said the other woman kicked her and punched her in the face.
The assailant came to her home and assaulted her, the caller said, and also called her names.
The caller said she had been having trouble with the woman and her sister. She declined aid unless it was needed to press charges.
A deputy searched for the woman but came up empty.
At 4:26 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7 in Quilcene, a man said an unwelcome woman was on the property.
She was refusing to leave and had damaged his door.
The man said no physical assault had occurred, but added the woman was now in the bed of his truck and was dumping out bags and rummaging though the items.
The man said they had been in a relationship but were breaking up; the woman knew that he called 911 and said she was going to leave. She got into a truck she had been in the process of buying from the caller and left.
A deputy who had dealt with the woman earlier had noted then that she may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs and was having a mental health issue.
At 10:08 a.m. Friday, Jan. 7 in Chimacum, a caller said a tree had fallen into power lines and had started a fire on Anderson Lake Road.
Trees were also over the roadway and the road was blocked.
The caller asked authorities to stop traffic; deputies provided traffic control until a county road crew arrived and removed the fallen tree.
At 4:01 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7 in Quilcene, a woman from a call the night before about a troublesome breakup had returned to the caller’s home and was refusing to leave.
The man said his ex-girlfriend had never lived there, and she had been repeatedly asked to leave the property.
A deputy suggested the man obtain a restraining order.
The woman was contacted by a deputy and issued a trespass warning. A deputy assisted her as she collected her belongings. She was again told not to return to the property.
The deputy also determined she was driving with a suspended license. She was warned about the offense and she called someone for a ride.
At 6:54 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7 in Sequim, a caller reported a burglary at a vacation home in Gardiner.
The property owner had not been there since before Christmas.
The garage had been entered and the mailbox was also broken.
The neighbors were contacted, and they did not hear or see anyone on the property.
A deputy determined someone may have entered a detached garage.
A Little Giant ladder was stolen, along with a Little Buddy heater, along with kitchen knives and utensils.
