Re: the letter from Mr. Poeschel, “People of conscience please take note.” I agree with most of what he says and all of the substance of his letter.
I have been stunned and sometimes it leaves me breathless, the depths that some leaders in the Republican Party will sink to, to stay in power. E.G. Ron Johnson on national TV arguing the merits of what constitutes an armed insurrection!? WTH!
I also agree that many of the Republican leaders are rotten to their core. And many in the base are deluded.
But let’s face it, most Americans need/want leaders. They decide who that leader is and then they follow their directives and their advice. Unfortunately they’re getting erroneous, hateful and egregiously wrong information in many cases. They’re deluded because they’re getting incorrect information, to put it mildly.
But what I think is that we need to reach out to one another, I watch a lot of MSNBC and often I find myself screaming at the TV, “You’re preaching to the choir, dang it!” You should be talking to those same people who are listening to Fox & Friends and believing the absolute vile garbage that comes out of their mouths.
We all need to do that; pointing fingers, laying blame and calling names is not going to solve anything or help. Mrs. Obama said, “When they go low, we go high”; she was right to say that.
As a nation we rise or we fall together. There is no in between. I believe Uncle Joe can right the ship, I believe that deep in my heart. But he needs our help and if we’re going to help we need to come together. God bless America! And all the ships at sea.

I agree, most people accept the outcome of an election and get on with their lives, that didn't happen in the 2016 election. "not my President" was heard among those who wanted Hillary Clinton to be POTUS, and abetted by a biased agenda-driven mainstream media they spent the next four years attacking the duly elected President. So now after all that we're supposed to"come together", sorry Dusty but those who have hated on the POTUS for the last 4 years have proven that they don't know how to "come together".

I think we did come together in the 2020 Election. Trump lost, no steal, people came together to get rid of a hate monger that spent his time in office dividing the country. Enough!

You're a fine one to talk about hate-mongering. The only ones who "came together" were the haters who bought the MSM's lies and distortions, who were too stupid to do any fact-checking and spent four years btiching and moaning about whatever Trump did or didn't do.

And man, is it ever a relief to have as president someone who cares about other people—and who also chose a Black woman as his running mate.

The Presidents main job is to defend our Constitution, and to protect the America citizens from enemies foreign and domestic. So far Biden has encouraged thousands of illegals to enter our country of which a large percentage will go on the public dole, most are not tested for Covid or other diseases putting all of US at risk and among them are many criminals. The people Biden should care about first are US citizens.

Let's not forget the former guy who sent American citizens to violently impede Congress from performing their Constitutional duties.

Believe what you want to believe Dage, but the court that tried the case found Trump not guilty of the charges, twice. Anyone who believes that Trump was responsible for the riotous mob in the Capitol must also believe that the Black Lives Matter people are responsible for the riots that occured and lives lost. Do you?

I'll second that, especially if you're a nit-wit like Justin X and haven't the ability to offer an opinion other than others shouldn't have an opinion.
